So I have to say, my quest to reduce my wind power cost was a success. I moved into a new place … new to me at least, and wanted to use alternate energy solutions. A mix of solar and wind was a definite possibility.
But I’m getting ahead of myself. My name is Jason, and my wife and I found a nice place in the country to move to. An old fashioned farm home that looks a bit rustic was just perfect for us. This place was close to the woods but not in them so we got to enjoy abundant wildlife and what turned into an easy wind power installation. I was expecting the real cost of wind power to be pretty high, but when I figured out the wind power cost per kilowatt hour I ended up with a great number. But there I go again, getting ahead of myself!
When I started off I wasn’t sure what to do, or where to begin. I did plenty of research but everything looked so expensive. I wasn’t sure how I’d pull it off. I really didn’t think that wind power for homes was so expensive, especially when you combine solar and wind power together to optimize your power generation.
Boy was I wrong. This stuff was EXPENSIVE. I spent hours poring over brochures from wind power company after company, and just didn’t find what I wanted. I looked at used wind turbines and just didn’t find anything right. Until fate stepped in!
